Happy Halloween

Although Jackson might be too young to go trick or treating, it didn't stop us from getting dressed up and playing dress up with his bears! He thought it was really fun until I put him in the pumpkin... but I couldn't resist!

Baby Jackson is HERE!!

So, baby Jackson finally decided to join us! I woke up Monday morning around 345, having some pains, and Jackson arrived at 615 am! I am so thankful for a quick and easy delivery! He tipped the scales at 4040 g (8 lbs 15 oz) and 52 cm (20.5 in)... everyone was shocked how such a big baby could come so fast in a first delivery!! Since then he has been eating and sleeping and the adjustment has been exciting and relatively easy. Heinz still has 2 weeks more vacation with us and will surely have a hard time going back to work, but luckily he has enough overtime, paternity leave and vacation days that he doesn't need to work too much more this year (gotta love Switzerland)!!

Nursery & Prego Pics

So... 4 weeks and counting! Everything is going well, we have finally got the nursery sorted out and are ready and waiting for our new arrival! For those of you abroad, it's been the European Soccer Championships and they were actually here in Switzerland and Austria, so I was inspired. Now, the whole nursery is soccer themed, perhaps a bit overboard, but I think it's cool!

The prego pics are from 3, 6 and almost 9 months... wow how time flies! It seemed like this time would never come!

We have even more or less decided on a name... Jackson Finn Kammermann... what do you think?

Kickin' Baby

So time again for another update. We were at the docs this week and everyone is doing well. Baby is kicking and healthy! Weighing in at 490 grams (nearly 1 pound), I am not sure how he will fit in 3 months time! That's right I said he, the doctor didn't have to tell us we saw it right away! Despite how clear it was, the doc said it's only 51% at this point?! Take a look at the pic and decide for yourself...

But it was so cool, we got to see the baby's face and little feet, it's somewhat surreal to imagine that's in my ever growing belly! However, it is ever apparent during my midnight bathroom breaks and inability to get comfortable, and of course when he knocked the wind out of me last weekend when I tried to steal Heinz's iPhone... they are gaining up on my already!

Will try to get some belly pics up here as soon as the weather is nice enough to take some in the garden with my tulips!

1st Ultra Sound

So I went in for my first ultra sound and 1st trimester check last month and baby got a clean bill of health! It was soooo amazing, I could see the baby moving and even waving. Then the baby stretched out really long, with daddy's long legs. I cannot wait!!

If you look closely, you can see the jaw bone where the teeth are/will eventually come in. The baby is sucking on his/her thumb already! And you can see all the fingers, the nose and even the eye!

In this picture, you can see the whole baby and if you closely, the legs are stretched up at the bottom! I even got to hear the heart beat, that was really cool! Pretty incredible when you consider the baby is only about 10 cm (about 4 inches) long!

P.S. My next appointment is on March 27th, but there won't be any pictures, the doctor is only checking the heart beat!

So it's official we are expecting our 1st baby the last week in August!!
